Lee Baxandall, an avid skinny-dipper since his youth as a Boy Scout in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, organized one of the first and largest
celebrations of American clothes-optional beaches at Cape Cod National Seashore in 1975-76. He went on to form The Naturist
Society in 1980 and authored the first edition of The World Guide to Nude Beaches & Recreation that same year. His unique and
popular guide book is updated regularly. More than 350,000 copies have been sold.
